About The Foundation

Early COCC Library PhotoCentral Oregon Community College (COCC) Foundation's purpose, as stated in the articles of incorporation, is to exist exclusively for the benefit of Central Oregon Community College, its faculty and students in the furtherance of the educational and charitable activities of the College.

 

It does so through providing financial assistance to students, fiscal support for college programs, and occasionally running campaigns in support of needed college capital improvements.



Foundation Fact Sheet

• Established in 1955 with a first year's achievement of $5,000. In 2007 assets managed by the Foundation total over $10 million dollars.

• In fiscal year 2008-09, more than $630,000 was offered in scholarships to over 440 students.

• The COCC Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization, separate from the college and governed by a 16 member volunteer board of trustees composed of professional, business, and community leaders

• Contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible. The Foundation accepts unrestricted gifts and also directs gifts to where the donor desires to meet a particular college and student need
