Taste of the Town and Meal of the Year - 2009
This year the annual Taste of the Town and the 34th Meal of the Year was held on Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7. Honorees for this year's Meal of the Year were The Carlson Family: Irene Bostleman Carlson, Dick and Mary Carlson, and Peter and Patti Carlson. From 1948 to 2009 the Carlson Family has played an important role in shaping our community into what it is today. It was an honor to recognize a family who truly represents the very best of Central Oregon.

One of the oldest charity galas in the area, the Meal of the Year and Taste of the Town are annual fundraising events held on the campus of Central Oregon Community College. This year over 750 people attended both evenings, raising over $190,000.
