Photograph by Loren Irving
“Fine Day at Painted Hills”
Travel back in time whenever you gaze at this 24”x 30” photograph beautifully custom framed by Eastlake Framing. The painted hills of the John Day region tell the story of life and landscape as it was 30 million years ago. Photographer Loren Irving, who has lived with his family in Bend since 1969, says, "Photography means a good deal to me. It is a great satisfaction when others enjoy photographs I’ve made of the world around us. It seems we’re here for such a short time and I am compelled to capture scenes that remind me of just how lucky we are.” He feels very strongly about supporting education in Central Oregon and has been a donor to the Meal of the Year since its inception.
Loren comments, “Bend is an extraordinary place to live because of all those in the community that try to make a difference. I urge the community to support President Jim Middleton and Central Oregon Community College! Bid High and Often!! ... and High!!”
