Pinckney Circle . . . . . . . . . . . . .Annual $500Dr. Orde Pinckney started the COCC library by making many trips to Portland and other areas to purchase books. He often returned from buying trips with his car trunk completely loaded with books. Dr. Pinckney’s private collection of more than 14,000 books was given to the library by his family. Membership at this level includes special events opportunities such as free tickets and special seating (not necessarily at every event). Books purchased from funds at this level of membership receive the "Gift of Friends of the College Library Pinckney Circle" distinctive bookplate.
Cascade Leaf Society . . . . . . . Annual $1000The Cascade Leaf is the title of the large sculpture of weathered steel, copper, bronze and glass in front of the Library building. It is more than 17 feet high. The inspiration for the sculpture comes from stone points used on darts and spears from the Early Archaic period 6,000 to 10,000 years ago. These points are unique to this region. The artist is Robert J. Gehrke. Membership at this level includes special events opportunities such as free tickets and special seating (not necessarily at every event). Books purchased from funds at this level of membership receive the "Gift of Friends of the College Library Cascade Leaf Society" distinctive bookplate.
